Maine...

Well, you all got the email that we're back in Maine. Safe trip, no problems, Zephyr made it just fine...
I promised mom I'd take a bunch of pictures. Haven't yet, but thought you might find these interesting. I missed having WorldWind, and I'm once again killing time on it...
The Caribbean. San Salvador (where we're going in a few weeks) is one of the little ones in the west without the light blue (carbonate bank) around it...

where in the sahara? is it natural, manmade, what substances make it. Is it mecca?

I forget where, Morocco maybe... I could look it up, maybe I will later. But no, it's not manmade. Just some crazy geologic thing. some think it's the remains of an impact crater (doubtful), others think it's some sort of metamorphic relic from a rising blob of magma or something (more likely). I haven't looked into it much. I thought it looked very interesting though...
