Long time...

It's been a while, so here's what's been going on...
- the bahamas were fun, lots of surveying, lots of caving (mostly sea caves), lots of rock sampling.
- it's ridiculously hot here this summer (100 as I write this), and we're something like 12" or so behind in rainfall
- yesterday was Kristen and I's 33-month anniversary. We saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (one of our first dates was seeing the first one), and ate at a Japanese restaurant. It takes a long time to eat a plate of rice with chopsticks.
- the new mountain bike is up and running. I like it a lot so far.
- the new apartment is about one-meelion-beelion times better than the old one.
- zephyr is a great doggy
- Kristen and I have been running together in the mornings, doing about a 3 mile loop. I really notice how my right leg is longer than the other... Kristen is fast too.
- The bike shop is the same as ever.
- I've got lots of school work to do
- It's really hot (did I mention that?)
- Can't seem to find any neat turtles anymore. I blame the construction.
- Oh, broke my wonderful camera whilst cave surveying, hopefully will be warrantied...
- Kristen is wonderful. :)

Great back to the old warranty scam again. Taking profits out of the hands of those poor asian folks who make our life luxurious by the sweat of their brow. Now yer making their live one of more overtime, lower wages, fewer benefits. As if they could even afford chopsticks.
Glad your back. Yer ma has abandoned me, left me alone to water her plants. I was up to 11;45 lat nite just to make sure all those annuals and periennals make it through the summer, Whimp ass plants, they should be weeded iut so only the strong survive. Damn time to water again

Will and Kristen
How are things settling in?
We're in the midst of a heat wave, was about 104 here yesterday and it is at 100 now. You don't feel much difference when it gets to 95. But then you are probably used to it down there.
Your mas off swimming in the Methow. I am hunkered down by the AC doing some reading and periodically changing the water.
Went out on a ride earlier this Am,came across a coyote was pretty cool fortunately he didn't chase me down.
At any rate just keeping tabs on you all
The old man
PS Landis pulled it off

Yeah, it's been ridiculously hot and humid here too. It's been getting above 100 for the past couple weeks, with that lovely humidity to go along with it. Got some rain yesterday and it was actually sorta cool riding into work this morning. Temp was about 78 or so, which seems cool! Still humid though.
Yeah, Floyd pulled it off. I can hardly believe it, I figured after that one stage he was done for. Then he kicked ass the next day and had a good TT. I would be so wiped after half of one of those stages I probably counldn't ride for a week. I don't know how they do that...
Good for him though. Sure was a lot more exciting without Lance. Good riddance.
