Christmas Ideas

Mom asked me what I wanted, so here's some ideas. I'll add some more as I think of them, so keep checking. I need to know what you all want too. I've got some ideas for some of you, but suggestions are always good.
Things I could use:
- mini-tripod (this would be ideal)
- rack for the Salsa (this (the "sherpa") is about the only thing that will work since I have disc brakes on it)
- cool rocks you happen to find
- Geologic Map of North America (here, I'm a GSA member, so could get it cheaper)
- anything home-made
more to come...

Alright hippie
Here is one book I've been eyeing for a while: The Peterson Guide to Rep and Amphibs 3rd edition.

I bet you can find it used pretty cheap.
or how about a box full of those good old starkville suburban pecans that we used to eat?? No need to shell them.

I'd love it if somebody got me a short term subscription to the New York Times sunday paper. There's a 12 week trial period advertised sometimes that sounds interesting.
Pecans...what a good idea!

Good, keep 'em coming.
The pecans is an excellent idea, but I'm not sure if it'll work. Mike (who still lives in the cotton district, pecan central) tells me there haven't been many this year because of the drought all summer. It's also been raining a lot lately, so the ones still on the ground might be rotten. I'll give it a look though. There's several good places 'round here...

Went searching for pecans in that big grove near the President's house, across the street from Eckie's pond. Man, I think I saw two the whole time. Nothing left on the trees either. I'll have to try the cotton district next...
