Sorry I've been a bit out of touch lately. Haven't really had too much time for work. Work itself has been fairly typical, with the exception that we're surrounded by stuff that could catch fire and/or explode and destroy an entire city. Not to mention the noxious chemicals like Vinyl Chloride, Hydrofluoric acid, and Hydrogen Sulfide gas. Just another day at the Shell Oil Refinery.
Not allowed to take any pictures of that, but I have taken some more of the beach and stuff.
So here they are...
Bell's Beach.
The Bass Straight (between Australia and Tasmania).
Old Eucalyptus grove.

Still no snow in the cascades
Take care

Not sure what kind of fern that is, but I've heard the name "tree-fern" while I've been here, so maybe that's what it is. I'll post a better picture of one. Haven't had a chance to snorkel yet, and don't think I'll get to this time. Probably go surfing this weekend though. Saw a wombat in a zoo (really sad) and have seen kangaroos and wallabies quite a bit. Yes, you can see Tasmania ("Tassie") from the beach on a clear day. Don't know if I have any pictures that show it though. Going home in a week. I wish I could show pictures of the refinery and why it's not a cool place to work here...
